On January 9, 2025, a technical disclosure meeting for the construction of seven 20-meter patrol boats by Jiangsu Maritime Safety Administration was grandly held at Jiangsu Tongyang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. Leaders of the Infrastructure Equipment Department of Jiangsu Maritime Safety Administration, heads of the Equipment Information Departments of Yangzhou, Taizhou, Jiangyin, Taicang, Zhangjiagang, Nantong and Changshu Maritime Safety Administration, relevant personnel of Wuhan Polytechnic Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Xingye Boat Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Tongyang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. attended the meeting and discussed matters such as the characteristics, technical priorities and construction difficulties of the 20-meter patrol boat.

The leaders of the Infrastructure and Equipment Department of Jiangsu Maritime Safety Administration introduced the overall situation of the project and clarified the technical requirements and construction standards: the design unit provided a comprehensive report on the optimization of ship design, and the detailed design documents and review opinions provided an important technical basis for the construction of the shipyard: Two construction shipyards, Jiangsu Tongyang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Xingye Boat Co., Ltd., also reported on the construction preparations respectively, and stated that they would form a professional construction team, formulate detailed construction plans, and make careful arrangements for quality control and safety management during the construction process. Construction will be carried out in strict accordance with the design requirements and relevant standards to ensure the quality and progress of ship construction.

The successful convening of this technical disclosure meeting laid a solid foundation for the smooth advancement of the construction of seven 20-meter-class patrol boats of Jiangsu Maritime Safety Administration. It is believed that with the joint efforts of all parties, the seven patrol boats will be completed and put into use as scheduled.

The 20-meter-class patrol boat is an inland river steel patrol boat, which is mainly responsible for administrative law enforcement, maintaining safe navigation order on water, organizing rescue of people on water, controlling water pollution, and investigating and handling water traffic accidents. The ship's hull is a single-bottom, single-deck, steel all-welded structure, and the superstructure is an aluminum welded structure. It is driven by two marine high-speed diesel engines and is equipped with high-efficiency propeller propulsion. It has a round batch and square tail ship with a short bend angle at the tail.
